You'll be getting $5000+ back? Why are you so far off in your taxes? Do you realize that you could have been getting another $100 tax free dollars in your paycheck each week? Why would you want the government to hold all that money for you and not pay you any interest? The goal is to get your return as close to $0 as possible and take that extra money and dump it into your 401K or at the very least a savings account so it will earn you intrest. I made almost $67k last year and my refund will be less than $500.... and I still think that it's too much. I don't want the government taking one dime more than they have to.

I guess since i had to pay 2 years in a row in 2000 and 2001 I figured the safe bet to prevent that would be just to keep it at Single and 0 ya know..

You can go to the IRS website and use their tax calculator through the course of the year to see if they are taking too little or too much so you can adjust the percentage. Thay way you can tweak it to the right amount with no surprises.

Looky here http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96196,00.html

Ok..I did hte Caculator thingy and it told me I should have little to no taxes taken out of my checks and should have a 0 refund...So if thats the case I could have over 300 a month in my check if I adjusted things...hmmm...
