Tampons are gross

Something about tampons seems so unnatural. If your body is trying to expel a fluid, why would you stop it? Why would you place a plug into your body, trapping what is inside? I think at this time of the month, you need to respect your vagina and give it some room to breathe, damnit! And even worse, it just stays inside you, all day! All...absorbed and stuff.

I mean, pads may seem like a more disgusting option, but that's like a guy shoving a tampon up his ass to stop diarrhea.

Tampons don't stop the flow from occuring. they stop it from running down a womans leg while she's out with her friends at a party.

If you think tampons are gross, cut yourself on your inner thigh and walk around bleeding.

That's completely different. You don't put a bandaid on your cut to stop the flow of blood, If you're bleeding badly you need to stop he blood and allow it to clot first. You're putting a sterile strip with medication on it to help heal the wound.

I don't see what your problem is. I'd rather not wander around and just start bleeding into my clothes if I were a woman.

Tampons are more clean in my opinion, nothing gets dirty, not even you. I think it gives you more of a clean feeling, IMO

I cant believe Im replying to this but heres some tampon education for the young boy.
James is right tampons dont stop the blood flow they absorb it, so you compairing it to putting a plug in your ass for diarrhea isnt even close to the same thing. Now when a woman is mensturating (lol I love that word) the flow is constant sometimes it can be heavier than others hence the different types for absorbance. You dont leave it in all day you change it throughout the day, it may get full or just for sanitary and health reasons (you can get a thing called toxic shock syndrome if you dont) but we will discuss that in a later education session if you wish my dear boy.
ok now lets address the grossness factor here think about this a bit.... whats more yucky a bloody pad.... yes they absorb too (but there are things we arent getting into on this) that is exposed to the air and rubbing that nasty junk all over you all day, or a tampon that keeps it all self contained in a little absorbant plug that gets changed often? Im going with the tampon any day of the month.

There is another use for a tampon besides its original purpose. Ive seen them get stuck up peoples noses who have a nose bleed that just wont stop

One of the guys who worked for me cut his foot badly on a boat ramp at a marina and one of the ladies there stuck a maxi on it to help with the bleeding. We called him pussyfoot for a while.
