Survivor ~Spartan Tribe Camp~ Thread

hey there Spartans. Our next challenge is to play the Tertis in the arcade and the accumulated score of our tribmates be higher then the other tribe's.

We can only play once. Make sure you copy and paste your score, cause the arcade doesn't always save it.

An advice for my tibe. Go slow, don't rush it, you'll make more mistakes if you hurry. Also, make sure you familiarize yourself with the controls... yes we all know how tetris works, but what buttons represent what is a different story... I din't know if it has a pause button... hopefully it does....

Now, what I am doing is, since we are not allowed to play multiple times in OUR arcade I am putting in a LITTLE practice time on another .... if the mechanics are the same, then you rotate the objects with the up arrow. just an FYI.

Good luck Spartans :) We are going to kick ass ;)

You really do enjoy bending the rules, don't you. The reason I am restricting you guys to just one game is to level the playing field a little. Everyone gets just one chance. I'd appreciate it if you just stuck to that. Thanks. :)

Loophole, you left one :p

:dunno:
I did not intend this to be a game of loopholes. It's supposed to be a game of strategy. You are not supposed to outwit, outplay and outlast me, you're supposed to do that to the other players. Please? I don't have the time to think of every possible loophole and I don't think you guys want to read 2 page challenges. ;)

True, we wouldn't want to read a 2 page challenge. But, isn't survivor about using all the things that are available to you get the best possible result and trying your best to win/survive all the challenges? We are playing this on the internet - the beauty of that is that nearly every help you need is at your fingertips. You just have to find them.

I get that you are trying to level the field, and that, among the dozen other things, is your job as a GM. Our job as players is to give our best effort and try to be the last one standing. What fun or use would it be to play a halfassed game?

Come on Spartans! rules are rules, we try to bend but remember what we have seen and said elsewhere - this is done for fun. Zirc's fun as much as our own playing it, no matter how frustrating things get sometimes. Get along before I break out my big brown stick! I'm going to post a picture of it later. I left it at work...

Excellent. Then go play ONE game of Tetris and do the best you can. :D

I'm not saying you can't use the internet for challenges. That's all cool. But for this challenge I specified one game so that some of you wouldn't go and practice for hours and then submit the best score. Not everyone has time for that and not everyone has access to other Tetris games. You also don't see them practicing their challenges beforehand on TV do you? :p I'm trying to emulate the TV game as best I can.

Sorry for my sucky score. I have never played Tetris in my life, had to get my hubby to explain it, maybe I should have practiced more but I just don't have patience for games of that sort, I'm more of a poker game player not reflex game type.
