I was sitting watching tv, drinking some beer when the phone rings last nite. It's the executor for my dad's estate. Guess what? My dad had a kid out of wedlock when he was 16 years old? A baby boy.

Unfortunately the boy is dead, so I never knew him. He would have been 20 years older than me. Aint life strange?

Basically all my dad left is the house he and Lois had (she died several months ago herself). And she has two kids, so in this economy selling a house is no easy thing and it's 1/2 block from a high school.

Heck, would have liked to have met my brother though. Dad had a kid at 16, 18, 19 and 36.

Mom was married at 16 and only had one kid at 33 THEN she starts taking birth control pills ;)

Because the executor has to research possible heirs, etc., and he's not just an executor but an old family friend.

As I say I wish I had had a chance to meet him. Being an only child, living the first 7 years twenty mile out of town with a mother who didn't drive and a dad who was in the service I was pretty lonely. I always wished for a brother or sister. None of my friends who know me now find it hard to believe but I used to be real shy.

Luckily I have written proof ;) All my early report cards say I need to speak up! My friends now are AMAZED!!! LOL
