I rarely have my ID on me. I just don't carry stuff. I've gotten pulled over several times without it... I whine just a tad and they just look me up
I just always think that I'd hate to be critically injured in an accident and have precious time wasted when trying to notify my family because I don't have any ID on me. I've just seen it happen way too many times where a family could've had a chance to say their goodbyes and instead miss out because the time it took us to figure out exactly who the patient was.

Well, I always have my phone with me. They call "home", "mom" or "daddy" in no time
That wasn't directed at you in particular, just in case it came off that way. I've seen our officers be able to use a victim's cellphone in an accident like that MAYBE three times in my 12 years. Usually it's not found in the wreckage.
It's a hazard of the job, me thinking like this. I WAS horrible about not keeping track of my location as far as mile markers go before I came to work here. Now I make sure that I keep track of cross streets in case something happens. You'll understand, being from Georgia...I had a call the other night and all she could tell me was "between McRae and Cordele"...and she was in Tifton now!!!

Oh shit. I still need to find that. I got completely distracted yesterday.
Edit- It *was* in my purse... I just haven't cleaned it out in a long time so it was a disaster zone. I was surprised by how much was in there.

Approximately 1000 times a day, I try to adjust the desk pad accurately alongside the desk's edge. ...and I hate it, when hubby comes to me, leaning with one hand on the desk pad and thus disarranges it. :ninja
