I'm still not wrapping my head around HOW THE HELL IS IT UNAMERICAN. To be un-American it would have to be something that ISN'T DONE in America. Obviously, it is done in America, which means it can't exactly be distinctly un-American, as a relatively sizeable amount of the population does it.
"It would be un-American to not push yourself to go far"... therefore, it is American to push yourself far? They're very concerned about going far in Norway, too, and they even have a higher literacy rate than the US. Also, they smoke pot in Norway, and that rate is still 100% and majority are university graduates. I just think that the US has failed in other areas, not on the war on drugs...
