Obviously "strange" is subjective. But has anyone got what could be considered as a "strange" obsession or phobia?

Mine, for instance, is a fear of dishwashers and pots, pans, plates or cutlery that have been cleaned in the dishwasher. I just cannot abide the "feel" of pots that have been cleaned in the dishwasher, to the point where if they are cleaned in the dishwasher, I have to watch someone clean them in the sink before I can touch or eat off them.

I have a fear of chemicals (cleaners) being mixed. Though I am not sure if that is a irrational fear:dunno
It's so bad that if I think two chemicals have mixed in anyway, shape or form I have an anxiety attack. Though I am getting better. :D

Generally speaking, that's a pretty rational concern. Mixing of chemicals is seldom a great idea.

I think that probably is a rational fear, when you consider the possibility of the products from 2 chemicals being mixed together. I'm sure (although I could be wrong), for instance, that bleach and ammonia together creates chlorine gas.
But having a panic attack over ANY cleaners being mixed is quite an extreme reaction, but, no, I don't think its an irrational fear as there is an element of danger to the mixing of them.

Panic attacks are horrible though aren't they? I've only had one before, and I thought I was dying :eek, so much so that I had an ambulance called for me and when they start you panic further which inturn makes the attack worse and everything escalates out of control.

Aversion to fruit juices. I'm not exactly afraid of them, but the smell disgusts me and I will hold my breath to avoid smelling it. Orange juice is the most awful, and I also don't eat oranges or a lot of orange flavoured things. Blackcurrant is the second worst.

But I can eat fruit (apart from oranges) so although strawberry flavour drinks make me gag, I love strawberries.

I do not like driving next to cliffs. I am always scared my arm might start violently jerking and off I go over the cliff. :24:

I really must learn to read more slowly. I missed one seemingly insignificant word out of that statement (and) it changed the whole meaning.... I had previously thought "what a strange reaction to driving next to a cliff"
