What you need to know, Fred??? It's been a few years since I've been, but it's nice. They have really near laser shows at night and a ski-lift (or hell, whatever you call it in places that don't have snow, LOL) that runs from the top of the mountain down. And I don't think it's all that expensive (at least it wasn't the last time I went).

I've been there a couple of times. Very impressive carving. They say the craftsmen carved so deep that you can fit a small car on the back of the horse. There are a couple of ways to get up to the top, depending on how energetic you are. Great view up there. It's been over a decade since we last went, but I can't imagine it's changed much. It's a nice 1/2 day trip.

It was a hang out for us when we were younger. It has been years since we've been but I recommend the laser light show. It used to be a summertime thing. Something like Memorial day through Labor Day. There is a lake for rowing and paddle boating. There used to be an animal park. A train ride around the mountain. It is not a difficult hike to go to the top. It is a nice day trip. There are festivals there like The Daisy Festival, The Great Miller Lite Chili cook-off and The Stone Mountain Highland Games to name a few. There is camping, too. It would be a fun long weekend to go and then maybe check out the GA Aquarium and the World of Coca Cola, too. Scope out Natasha's link. They offer a whole lot of stuff I didn't know a darn thing about. Time for me to revisit! If you go, let us know all about it.

I had visited the website. They offer some deals where you can buy deals on-line but then they have a specific time to get your tickets. According to google it is about 200 miles from here. I am a little iffy on tying myself to a specific time.

So go & find the public library when you get there. Use their computer to buy the tickets.
