LoL. Proxy blocker. They would have to use a proxy to spoof their IP. This is pretty easy. Better yet, just use a public computer at a library or college or something.

It basically means they're masking their real IP with a fake one.

It's not a proxy blocker, it's a proxy... as AllVenom said they would use the proxy to mask their IP with a fake one so it can't be traced. But if someone was stupid enough to not even get all the correct info for your CC, I doubt they would have the brains to pull off that.

I simply restated what you said, more clearly for her, because she was still using the incorrect terminology. Since she has never been familiarized with what a proxy is or how it's used, I simply wanted to answer her question.

Just so you guys know, using a proxy will only fool the most foolish sites. We have some members here that use a proxy. With a simple hack installed, we are able to see what proxy they are using along with their real IP address. So a site like flowers.com would know the real IP.

sure it's a hack... it's code that's written to alter the forum is such a way that was not intended. Would it make you feel better if I start using the term "Mod"? :dunno seems like all the coders over at vBulletin seem to refer to the mods as hacks.
