It's sad that for his family and friends... but to be honest, he (along with Bud Selig) is probably one of the worst things to ever happen to baseball in my opinion.
while his spending was monumental he made me so ticked with all his world series titles I could never cheer for the Yankees. while i think Selig was afraid of Steinbrenner, Selig should strike while the iron is hot and implore a salary cap in the MLB.

I really hope so... but I doubt the rest of the owners would go for it to be honest

as are my Cubs... though they've never had to pay the luxury tax

and you look at a team like the Brewers (my wife is from Milwaukee) and we go to a game a summer for the past five years. and I enjoy the game at Miller Park much better than at Fenway

I've always wanted to go to Miller Park... but not as much as I want to go back to Wrigley (haven't been there in over 20 years). My favorite park to see a game in is AT&T Park in San Francisco. Minute Maid Park in Houston was pretty cool as well though. Dodger Stadium is nice for the nostalgia, but not nearly as good as AT&T.

I absolutely want to... the one time I was back east (in New Hampshire), we went to Boston but they were playing the Yankees, so tickets were going for a few hundred a piece. :( My dad was at a conference last year and got to go to a game in Fenway, and he rubs it in all the time :24:

I'll be sure to take you up on that next time I'm out there... though who knows when that'll be since the last time was for my now ex-sister in law's wedding ;)
