i think i'd rather see the x-men one, but i'm getting tired of all these "prequels" where they have better technology in the past than they did in the first movie... I dont know if i'm going to see the star trek one unless a die-hard star trek TOS fan tells me its good... *shrug*

I've got a few die hards around me. One actually used the term blasphemy when describing some of it. He said that while a few parts were blasphemous to the rest of the franchise, it was a great addition to the star trek universe.

We just saw Star Trek, what a great re-boot! Both Wolverine and ST are highly recommended by me. One comment in the thread was that ST had more, better CGI (special effects) and I say it does, however they are two very different movies, space, spaceships, planets being blown up require lots of CGI. Both stories are good, both movies enjoyable. If you are a X-Men fan, Wolverine is a must. In Star Trek I liked both Kirk and Bones a lot. Spock was good, especially when kiss'n on Uhura, (actually she was kissn on him) but the original Spock is hard to replace imo.

I'll have to wait and see, i'm not sure if i wanna waste my money or if it will be worth it..
People need to let go of their old Star Trek.

I assume since you placed this comment here, you feel that way about Star Trek? IMO the Star Trek CGI was outstanding, impressive but did not overpower the story. I mean how else are is the director going to "do" space anyway? ;)

Saw both, enjoyed both... Have to say that Star Trek in general was a better movie.

The main problem about X-Men was that if you didn't come to see JUST wolverine and sabertooth... you were kind of disappointed. Gambit also made me mad because his supporting acting role was so small.
