I have smoked alot of marijuana back in high school. I honestly believe that legalizing marijuana for medical purposes is fucking stupid. Whatever benifit you get from it, i.e. anti neasuea or pain killing use... your choking your body of oxygen which is even worse. Legalize it, for recreational use. Its not nearly as bad as alchohol. Generally people dont get arrested for violent crimes when smoking marijuana, and you cant overdose on it either.

Do you not see the contradiction?
No legalisation for medical reasons but ok for rec use

Those who claim to need it for med reasons obviojly would have legal access

What im saying came out wrong i guess. Im saying fully legalize it. The whole 'medical use' is a mockery of the government.

the ones who want to avoid smoking it, thats exactly what they do.
dispensaries sell them already baked so theres actually no hassle in getting it, which is what you're making it sound like
 
I think legalizing it would be an overall good idea. Fantastic source of tax revenue and then it could finally be regulated and distributed properly. It is a pretty huge waste of resources to "fight this war on drugs." I personally do not smoke it as my system doesn't care for it much but I have had a lot of friends who smoke A LOT of it (enough of it that it would make me call 911 and say I am dying) and they are quite successful in their lives. However, moderation is crucial as it is with much in life. It is easy to overdue many things in life which can have negative results on one's health (mental or physical) or become a negative financial burden.

As long as there is a successful system to identify that it is actively in one's system (such as DUI checks) then I say go for it!

Yeah I know a few people who ingest cannabis in the form of cakes or brownies rather than smoke it; either because of health\lung issues, or just because that's their personal preference.

I quite like the longer, gentler, but powerful high you get from ingestion.

See I'd like to try this, because smoking it has never worked for me, it just made me feel dizzy. Something that comes on a bit more gradually would probably be more enjoyable :)
