st patricks day and america/canada(informative)

I'm part Irish and part Czechoslovakian but you don't see me going around telling people they don't need to celebrate something because it doesn't pertain to them.

Oh hey look at me I've got an Irish heritage so I'm better than you all. PFT

Not being Irish, I dont really care other than finding the thing rather silly. It must be annoying for Irish people though suddenly having loads of people who like telling you that they are proud of being Americans to one day a year coming out of the closet to claim the're Irish.

interesting...would that be the czech republic or slovakia?:ninja

I haven't done any research on it. But seeings how they didn't actually split til 1993 it wouldn't matter to me because I was born before that.
I just have gone off of what my grandparents have told me. I do know there's more to my background than that, but haven't got around to actually looking into it all.

Didn't we have this same arguement last year???? Lol...

if one more person asks me if I'm enjoying MY peoples heritage one more time though I may snap, I'm bloody English just cause we are parted by a small portion of water and we love to drink does not make it my holiday ... plus half the people who have asked me know damn well I'm pregnant and asked if I ws going to get drunk tonight..... yes I am a bad enough mum that I'm going to go get smashed even though I have a baby inside me cause that's just what the English do... idiots
