Though this said I don't go to that many websites (here, The Board~, youtube, the Caf, Facebook, few football websites) so it's less of a risk.

Haha yeah I'm the same, it's between here, facebook, gmail, two other forums and cracked.com.

Surely that just means you would have gotten viruses, but you have a scanner installed so you didn't.

A real comparison test would have to be a Mac and a Windows computer running in similar environments over time, neither with any protection.

This is not the point, the point is people are saying that Mac don't get viruses at, I think some stupid sales person in Apple is asking Mac Users to be complacent about their security

Maybe some people do say Macs don't get viruses ever. That's not anyone here though, so what are you arguing against? I've already said I know Macs can get them. However, considering I'm not high-risk for viruses, coupled with the overall lack of actual threat from viruses anyway, it's just not a big issue.

Definitely safer with Mac.
