is it really the final frontier........lets face it we haven't even discovered all the species on this planet yet.....and what about other theories like inter dimensional travel or time travel?

I would say to the first question, it would have to be by definition, determined by what your image of space actually is.
They have, gotten to what they believe to be the edge of our galaxy, but you won't find a Rand McNally with it yet

Space should not be called the final frontier but instead it should be called the endless frontier.
I think that calling it that (the final frontier) is a little optimistic. Lets face it, they know more about the surface of the moon than the bottom of the ocean! Then there's all the other planets in our own system before we brave the interstellar gap to the next system!
We have not even figured out our own brains fully. The study of our own brain has really just been begun to be fully tapped in to. We have a long way to go before anything could be considered 'a final frontier'.
We can't even prove there's more dimensions and time travel has been proven to be impossible.
Space is a huge frontier that we've yet to even begin exploring, it's one that once we get out there, will be explored for hundreds or thousands of years... or more.

Pay attention to Einsteins theories, I'm not going to do the research on it, but I know he proved time travel to be impossible within our realms of reality.
He proved you can travel into the future if you move fast enough. The time dilation effect.
Going back in time is a little harder. You would either have to travel faster than light or go through something exotic like a black hole.

but many impossible things are now possible.......aren't scientists able to teleport a laser beam from one machine to another now?.......and wasn't the thought about 100 years ago that if you travelled at over 30 miles per hour you'd suffocate?

Well, for the sake of arguement, the surface of the Moon is open and in plain site...the bottom of the ocean has well, an ocean on top of it, lol!!!!!!!

I have always been curious as to what was past the edge of the Universe. But that is something I doubt we'll ever figure out. But for now, I think we as a whole would be better off sticking to our planet. There's so much we don't even know about it yet. And on the path we're on, we'll end up destroying it before we figure everything out about it.
