I just started learning how to play Guitar Hero

played trumpet for six years....God how I learned to hate an instrument
guitar for 13 or something years. Bass for 5. Sampler for 3.
I tried learning guitar when i was young but i complained too much as my small fingers would hurt from being stuck in between the strings. With the different chords and one has to press hard on the strings- i complained again. So i gave up 
Now, I regret it

I have tried to play a keyboard, just that silly things get in my way of learning, can do the first few keys of Ode to Joy by Beethoven...oh well
Accordion, for 8 years - finished the musical elementary school. Had my finals and never touched it again.

I can play just about any brass instrument, trombone and tuba are my primaries.
Also play keyboards in a few bands here and there. Not really a trained piano player, but I can play a lot of songs by ear.

wife played violin for twenty plus years before she developed carpal tunnel syndrome that made her wrists shot and couldn't bend her fingers...but the sensation is slowly coming back to her wrists...

I want to learn the cello too. I played violin as a kid. That'll be my next musical purchase.
I'm in a marching band in which I play a snare drum.
I even got a shiney badge.

Where? I'm in a drum and bugle corps in the hornline.
I'm in a full Air Training Corp band, I'm from a small town near Preston, England.
Allthough we struggle to get musicians but have a large Drum corp
Just curious, do you teach yourself the instruments, or have lessons?
We had a UK corps come over last summer and compete in our circuit. The Kidsgrove Scouts. I thought they were very good.
