For most of the 3d its Blender an awesome free 3d modeler its updated regularly and beating back the 500 dollar programs

For landscape i use Terragen 2.

I thought you maybe had used Boyce for the landscape. That's the one I know of.

Yeah blender is an amazing program once u get the feel for it. I have a head i made but i didnt want to post it cause its a little creepy
