Some douchebag hit my car!!

So the other night my husband took my car to work, he rarely does this but it gets better gas mileage so I said yeah go ahead well guess what happened!? Some douchebag hit him. Heres the messed up part The guy didnt have insurance and I really dont know if he even had a valid license so now Im stuck paying the 500.00 deductible to get my car fixed that wasnt even my fault!! Im so pissed right now I could spit! :mad

no insurance isnt required here that I know of yet. Its driver side rear door damage, and its not horrible but its pretty smashed.

yeah could have been worse I guess it still makes me mad. I have insurance always have and then something like this happens and Im stuck holding the bill.

That sucks.....If that happened here, and its not my fault.....my insurance company chases up the other party to pay the excess.....whether they are insured or not.

Its the "no fault" clause.

That's a bummer, I just dropped my car off at the body shop due to an accident not to long ago. .Had to pay 500 as well.

Threaten with legal action. It's amazing what people do to avoid a legal battle. But of course you have to be willing to back up the threat with real legal action if it comes to it.

If there was a police report it would be a slam dunk.

Now getting the money might be another story but it is something you can do on your own and get the costs reimbursed. You obviously would have to tell the idiot that you will do this if they don't pony up with the money first.

yeah Im sure they do but they told me I cant access the police report for 10 days and I have to go online
