I have this friend.... well shes more of an aquaintance we only get along because her husband an I have been friends since we were little. Anyway I texted her this morning telling her i had some of her things here that had managed to accumulate over the last few months bbq's etc and she wont reply.
Its not the first time its happened.
Is it me or is that rude? Im annoyed at her i mean she could have at least sent a message back ok or something but nothing. Maybe Im old school i beleive a message should be answered despite the nature of it.

Your feelings are quite understandable and I have to agree with you. However, a lot of folks treat a text message like an overdue bill in the mail. Just toss it on the pile and and look at it when it's convenient. I know a lot of people like that. Not much you can do about it either.

Maybe she hasn't had her phone? I've left mine at home all day on accident before.
Text her husband and tell him. Seems like possibly the fastest way if you are better friends with him?

I called somebody a couple times yesterday trying to follow up on something. Then finally texted in the evening as I wanted to make sure the message was recieved. Finally got an answer then. Some people just do not respond as it being a priority. Even if you say it is. You would not believe the issues the President of our trade association had getting board members to respond. One reason I turned down the Presidency.

I don't think you're old school because if you were, you would of called her in the first place.

I've told people (and I'm sure that they've taken it the wrong way) that if you want to communicate with me on a personal/social level that will get you an answer from me, to CALL ME, not text me. Texting is great for work as far keeping track of communications, but on a social level? Forget it.

The next question would be who is to blame for the collection of some of her belongings over time at your place? The solution is simple, when she comes over, when she leaves she takes her stuff with her, or she doesn't bring it over at all.

Sounds to me like she may have some issues with your relationship with her husband, going by this and your thread about the concert tickets. Some people would not be comfortable with their partner being very good friends with opposite sex, I don't know how comfortable I'd be about it tbh, but I suppose it would depend on the person and what they actually did/how much time they spent together
