and it's been snowing for two days straight.

Well it warmed up so everything kinda melted into slush today, and then bam it gets dark and everything freezes.

I'd already brushed off my car after lunch today, so I got in it, turned it on, put my CD in and lit a cig.

I back out of my spot, turn my wheel and lightly tap the gas.

I'm spinning. and spinning.

So I stop and back up a little.

Go back forward and all of a sudden my front wheel drive car is actually... Turning... on it's axis.

I've never had a FWD car do that before. It took me 5 minutes to drive 15 feet. I shit you not.

I really, really, really hate ice... probably just as much as wind.

To give you an idea of what I'm talking about... Here's a screen shot.

The red line is how far I went, the red outlined spot is where I always park.

Then I get out onto that road and some guy is sliding down his lot entrance, down the bump and comes within a few feet of my car. I can't stop so I continue on kinda swerving around him.

So he comes out behind me, and is like... RIGHT on my ass. I tap the brake for the speed bump and he slams on his, his car starts twisting off to the side.

I say fuck that and move over to let him go. People with POS cars need to be more considerate. I had my car out all of about 6 minutes in the past two days now, and he's almost hit me twice.

I love driving in snow and ice. I was in Wales once when it snowed really bad and I drove my friend through to his girlfriends house in a 1 litre Fiat Uno. Her parents had a 4 by 4 and considered themselves snowed in. We also drove down an abandoned road and I was doing 360 handbrake turns, great fun!:D
