today was my official 8 year mark in the navy...I know I know nothing too exciting but it something....8 years ago today I was getting off the plane in chicago and starting day one of bootcamp

Yeah, that's the good thing about being in the forces, you get to retire early. Two of my cousins were in the RAF and got to retire when they were about 40 with a nice fat pension. Guess you deserve it though for putting your life on the line for your country.

bootcamp now that I look back on it was a joke but while I was there it was tough because I was homesick...I have a little less than a year left in the navy...then I'm going to finish my military time in the coast guard
