You need to call a plumber. There may be a problem with the orifice (the nozzle where the gas comes out)
It may be set up for natural gas but is actually using LP gas... or the opposite.
either way, it is dangerous to use in this state.

A plumber will be able to change out the orifice if that's the problem...

This is not a do it yourself project.
 
im just going to call the realty company because they have to fix it. The house was built with natural gas lines so i doubt its set up for LP. Not sure though I will get someone out here. It's not terribly cold but the fire feels nice!!! :D
