oh you need it!!!

my washer and dryer are in my kitchen right next to my stove, so I definitely need the storage, and it will be nice to have the washer and dryer higher than the stove.

My mom didn't get platforms and loading her washer and dryer are a pain in the ass. You could do that for less than $50, don't you think?

yes you can - the guy was saying the boards cost $15 and the 2x4 like $10 plus screws - $8 about I guess...then paint $10...

yeah right under $50 i'm sure - and you can get two!!

Of course the design needs to be modified if you want drawers. How i don't know which is why I am making some one else make them for me!

Look on IKEA. They have a lot of stuff you can manipulate and depending on which pieces you get, it may not cost a lot. Give him an option- buy and build, or just buy.

I dunno, Amara ripped her ikea shelf and a bit of wall out when she sat on it... the shelf is fine. The wall though....:willy_nilly::mad

lol cute.

I've never had Ikea so I don't really know, but I have seen a lot of Ikea stuff that people have, and it doesn't look sturdy, and I've seen some of it break pretty easy.

That being said, I did surf their site to see if they had anything that would do, and I couldn't find anything. Maybe I don't know how to surf their site??

We don't have an Ikea here anyways - I think the nearest one is Houston. :(

I got lucky with my washer and dryer. A couple of weeks after I bought them Lowe's decided that they weren't going to carry them online anymore; they would be online exclusive. They sold the pedestals for $20 a piece. It worked out nicely considering we hadn't had them put in yet.

Good luck making them! It really is nice having them up off of the floor.
