so...do you believe

I think AEF is dumb then...:jk
Quite the opposite. I admit I do not know many things for certain.

But to answer the question, Yes, I do think there is other life out there. We aren't the only ones in a "Goldilocks zone". A area in space where conditions are just right for life to form. But then again, there may be life out there that can survive in conditions unfamiliar to us.

I think Booms is hitting the nail on the head all over this place. :) I agree with his idea that the Universe is simply too large to contain life only on one tiny speck. Obviously we don't know for sure, but I imagine there is going to be like and non-like life out there. I'd love to meet a friendly one someday!! :D

About 40 years ago, a radio astronomer named Drake came up with a nice tool to help us guess at the possibility of advanced life out there. Messing around with it makes it almost impossible to imagine a lifeless universe.

SPACE.com -- The Drake Equation to estimate intelligent extraterrestrial life

What puzzles me is, how can we be sure that all of our scientific theories and rules can apply to another planet? For instance, we say to live it must breathe, eat and all that stuff. But how do we know that there couldn't be an intelligent life form out there to which these theories or rules do not apply?

LOL I've laid awake at night countless times thinking exactly that. haha I wonder if we'll even be able to identify it when we do finally find it.

so for my next question....is their and end to outer space or is it infinite

Oh sure... ask us the easy ones why don't you... :smiley24:

I think our Universe ends somewhere (some time). LOL Gotta be careful about the word time... it can get hairy quick. :D

I am going to have to answer, I don't know, but I am sure that there could be something out there even if it is a micro organism.

There is obviously life somewhere else in the vast expanse we call space. But that doesn't mean we'll ever find them, or that they'll find us. as big as the Universe is, and as small as our planet is, the odds of them finding us, or us finding them, is probably about a kajillion to one.
