Oh okay, it's usually the same around here but they don't really play around with the temperatures.

I was out drinking that same night, I think we had -35C and it was pretty damn painful.
Didn't help that we got rejected at the door or thrown out at every club we went to either.

Managed to get my nose and ears frostbitten:/

Not that I'm from Manchester, more of a down south person, not even Scotland goes near -40C, that kind of weather is akin to Siberia/Canuck Land/Scandinavian countries

Do you live around the coast?
Currently looking into studying there.

Not having any snow in the winter and actually getting more than an hour of Sun a day is a very foreign concept to me, although quite appealing.

The roads round here are pretty clear now, the paths will clear in time, but there's no reason why things should be brought to a standstill.

I don't think "Canuck Land" has ever gotten down to -40C. That's reserved for the prairie wastelands. :D
limeys use the term canuck liberally to describe all of us, just like i use the term yanks to describe all of them others down south

btw the uk seems to handle snow the same way we handle the sun

sends us nuts

More snow tonight, though I don't know if it has affected the counties and the shires, though more likely....great excuse to wear my trekking shoes again

Well I woke up at 0300 this morning for work and so far there is plenty of ice and some white stuff on the ground that is trying to pass as snow but so far its pretty pathetic. I think its funny how, I want it to snow but I dont think it will and my neighbour doesn't want it to snow but thinks it will, what you gonna do huh? anyways it is ball busting freezing though so I hope we get some and make all this worth it.
