Just thought I'd make a thread dedicated to pictues of snakes and spiders, some of the most awesome creatures on this planet, if you have a phobia of them, then don't slag them off and just leave now.:)

Here goes..........................

THe largest snake, I've ever handled, the Burmese Python, held one at Steve Irwin's zoo in Australia, what a priveledge!

The deadliest spider I've ever handled, the redback, wild one, also in Australia

Our most poisonous snake, the adder, friend got bitten by one in the forest down the road to me, he thought it was harmless until he started halousinating!

A huge bird eating spider, what a beautiful creature!

ha well i'm sorry to hear that. Snakes I think are great pets. I never wanted a snake before, in fact I used to hate them. And one night I got drunk and decided that I wanted a snake. It was an impulse buy...then I had to get drunk again to hold her for the first time lol. But now her or any other snake really doesn't bother me, I think they're al cute :)

Hehe! Owning an animal you're scared of as a pet is the best way to overcome your phobia. When I was living with my mum I got a pet rat. She was scared stiff of it and refused to even come in my room at first. Eventually though she found it really cute and intelligent and used to handle it. I even caught her crying about it when it died!

haha well my mom is scared of snakes, and she still is to this day. Still won't hold her. And personally as she gets bigger I think she makes a good massager when I put her around my neck!

That Burmese python I held around my neck at Steve Irwins zoo definately wasn't a good massager but then thats understandable seeing the're the second largest snake on the planet, I thought the thing was going to break my neck, it was so heavy!:eek
