Sly Stalone and Mike Tyson In Boxing Hall Of Fame

The Rocky films DEFINITELY contributed some popularity to Boxing. To this day you see fighters coming out to the songs from the films all the time and always comparing themselves to ROCKY, the character has become a MEASURING STICK in boxing, like it or not it's the truth. I personally probably wouldn't have inducted Stallone if I decided who gets into the HOF but I don't really mind them putting him in. Tyson on the other hand definitely belongs, whatever happened in his personal life he is still IMO the best Heavyweight of all time.

Also, Tyson is a scumbag, if he were a Baseball player he would have been banned from Cooperstown a LONG time ago.

There are numerous scumbags in Cooperstown, starting (by all history accounts) Ty Cobb.

The only reason Pete Rose isn't in the hall of fame is because he broke a rule in baseball (gambling on the sport, which is listed in the rules in the clubhouses). I have no doubt that if he (Rose) were only convicted of rape, he'd be in as well.

By the way, IMO Tyson may be a scumbag, but Don King made Tyson the man he was after his (Tyson's) father figure and coach died. King by far is a bigger scumbag IMO. Tyson in his prime was unbeatable, period. I've got to give Tyson that.

I disagree, Ali never fought anyone with the combination of speed, power, and defensive skill that Tyson possessed in his prime.
