Just because I'd read this thread, I had a dream last night about having a dodge around a load of snakes in my garden.

Dammit Moonie, I couldn't even set foot on a plane knowing there's a snake waiting at the end of the journey :ninja

You should!:nod: There is an awesome horse farm on the other side of our lake. All draft horses. They're huge & beautiful! We could visit.

PBBB was out on the back porch when she realized she had company. This little one is hanging out up in the eaves... :cool

It's a little garter snake. Not poisonous. Hard to tell all twisted up but she's only a couple of feet long - if that.

I can't see too many details, but I think it might be a Kingsnake.. most likely an old Mole Snake that has already lost the stripes -they fade with age-.. and it's coming out of hibernation..

I used to have about 20, mostly King, Milk, and some Corn snakes, complete with my own breeding stock of mice and rats
I had to give them up when I could not take care of them anymore because of my health..

I still miss them and visit them at the nature center where I donated them and I am the only person that is allowed to handle them besides the staff there. :nod:

I'm terrified of snakes. I can't imagine living somewhere they just turn up and have a nosey around your house.

HK, most snakes are also scared of people and won't attack anyone, they will just run away to protect themselves...

I just checked outside. She's flipped around and is now facing us still lying on top of EJ's bathroom door. Looks like the light being on in the bathroom is bringing the food to her for easy pickins.... Smart snake.

I wonder if she'll still be there tomorrow or will decide to move on? They don't usually hang out on the back porch this long.
