Long-term stress around orientation or gender can disrupt sleep. Some teens stay awake due to rumination, fear of family conflict or constant vigilance. Poor sleep then worsens mood and focus. How can families recognize sleep-related stress? What routines or support systems actually help these teens get real rest?

Chronic stress has an adverse affect on stress, and I cam imagine how much stressful can a queer teen be in a society that only accepts biological male and biological female, and does not view relationship outside the concept of male and female.
