Skype is one of the success stories of IT. It has grown so big over the last 5 years since this thread was made that Microsoft bought it and replaced their famous MSN Messenger software with it. Who would have thought that would happen 5 years ago?
I have it downloaded on my phone, but not sure how to use it. When do additional charges apply, and who gets charged?
Ive only got actual friends on skype, I see no reason to chat to randoms there lol. Thats what forums are for

I pretty much strictly use skype with friends and family. I rarely connect with strangers online outside of forums.
Ive got a couple of friends on there that I made online, but it took yrs before It got to that point.
I miss MSN Messenger they should have kept it
