So last night I got 2 separate things from Verizon about FiOS tv in the mail and it got me thinking.
I really hate directv, this satellite tv service I have. I'm tired of being in the middle of a football game and my picture goes out because it's raining.
I'm tired of not having service randomly for no reason at all sometimes.
So I called them up and inquired into the cancellation fee since I'm in contract.
Figuring 60-100...
One Hundred Fifty dollars to cancel a service that I'm already paying 65 dollars/month for?!?
WHAT!?
I went off on the rep, I laid it down, and then she transferred me. I can't be offered anything other than 10 dollars off my service charges every month until the contract is up.
DirecTV = crap.
Programming, crap. Customer service, crap. Quality of service, crap.
I didn't know they had done it at the time, but when they ran coax for my tv, they ran it along the outside of my house tacking into my siding and then drilled a hole through my wall instead of running it into the basement and up through the floor like the cables that were already there.
Six more months of random not getting signal when it rains or snows.
I'll never have satellite anymore, it always seems to go out on sundays when I watch the most TV.
