I totally LOVE Sister Wives!! Am I like the only one?? True, it's not my choice of lifestyle, but these women are so awesome. They love each other, their husband, and ALL the children in the home. They seriously are a loving family.

I have not missed an episode. I think more because it's such a bizarre concept, and I haven't quite figured out how they do it.
Yet another example of our society making illegal and adding stigma to people who want nothing more than to live, and love, how they choose. For a nation built on freedom, we sure love to stick our collective noses into places it doesnt belong far too often.

I think it is a wonderful example of how people can show that no matter how different their choices might seem to outsiders, there can still be a single loving, compassionate father in a family with four wives and 16 children. I agree that these people are persecuted wrongly. America boasts freedom of religion, and yet these people are made out to be heathens, and perverts, and negligent towards their children. So what the guy has 16 children, that means he can't be a good father?? Look at the Douggar (sp?) family....they have 19 damn kids, but you don't see people jumping all over that guy about how he can't be a good father with that many kids to attend to!! The kids in the Brown family have FOUR mothers as well as their father to attend to their needs, I think that is better for the kids.
Is he technically doing something illegal, though? I think he's only legally married to the first one. :unsure: I've only watched a few shows but that's my understanding.
I've seen every episode and from what I understand he's actually legally married to them all, which is why the family is under investigation right now.

It's only recognized by the state if you file the necessary paperwork. Church married and state married can be the same, or you can have a ceremony but not actually file with the state.
I saw a few episodes. I saw it until one of the wives gave birth and they were about to welcome a fourth wife.
That was all they showed in the UK (unless they changed the time/day/channel the show was on, but I did look and couldn't see it listed anywhere). Though if there is more episodes, it might be shown again at some point.

There's been lots of episodes since then. I'm not sure how it works where you are, but here it comes on a channel called TLC. A new episode comes on tomorrow (Sunday) night :thumbup
It's weird because if he's only legally married to the first wife, why are the cops bothering them? It's like his first wife said, the harassment they are getting since their coming out show, and Meri getting fired, those are the exact reasons why their people hide from the world.
I can't remember what channel it was on here. I think it was Discovery Real Time or one of the many Discovery channels. I'll have to look and make sure it didn't start showing again without me noticing lol.
