Sinus infection.

So i came to the conclusion today that I definitely must have a sinus infection. I have been congested since late nov-early dec...I was sick the entire month of december and part of january. After I got better my sinuses never cleared up, but everyone insisted to me that it was because I was pregnant. So I always just assumed everyone else had it jsut as bad as I did. Well...after months of headaches, allergies, etc...i think it has finally come to a head. Today the tips of my top teeth were throbbing and aching so bad, and I just knew that it has to be a sinus infection. Also, my gums are very swollen, tender and whitish..like there is immense pressure on them. So I am going to the dentist AND my GP next week. I read a lot of stuff now that scared me about not treating a sinus infection immediately during pregnancy, so im a little worried because i suspect I've had this for a long time and just never differentiated it from regular pregnancy stuffiness. So I am a little worried..but at least now I kind of have a clue what is going on.

I think I am also gonna run out and buy one of those nasal irrigation pots. It can't hurt right? It's just warm salt water. Maybe that will get me feeling better fast.

know whats messed up? I got a netti pot thing for nasal irrigation...i did it word for word how the instructions say...and NOTHING comes out the other side...everything just fills up inside my sinus cavity. But it's weird, because i can breath in and out of my nose fine. My nose isnt blocked...it's like deep inside. I def. need to go to the dr.

I think i might have gingivitis too :( Wehn i flossed yesterday my gums were bleeding bad...and ive had an awful taste in my mouth for about a month. I'll admit I've been bad and this is only like the 2nd time I've flossed this month :( Guess it really IS very important. The sinus pressure doesn't help im sure.

That could well be pregnancy related.
A metallic taste is sometimes the first symptoms some women have :)
As for the bleeding gums... mine bleed daily, with just brushing. They did through out my last pregnancy too.

yeah i knew bleeding gums were preg related, that's why i haven't done anything about it...but when i got some other symptoms is when I thought it might be something periodontal related. They say its good to get checked by a dentist at least once in your pregnancy anyway so i migth as well. its been about a year and some months since ive had a teeth cleaning anyways.
