I like tight places as much as anyone:ninja...but Why do people stand in doorways? In a department store if the restocker is taking up most of the aisle why stand in what space is left & block the rest of the aisle?
On a similar vein, I dislike people who stand on one side of an aisle to look at things on the opposite side :ninja
And people that congregate in the middle of the aisle to talk. Drives me nuts.

I do that. But I stand with my buggy so I can move it if someone needs behind me. I figure if the three people looking in that section don't stand right up on it, we can all search at the same time.
I do hate when people park their buggies on the edge of the aisles, blocking items and then walk away!
I hate the commissary in general, though. I went yesterday, and it's NOT payday weekend, and it was packed like it was. I was ready to mow people down by the time we got to the checkout line. I'm always getting cut off and blocked and I feel like I'm invisible. That, and there's no sense of motion in there. It'd be nice (in an ideal world!) if we could all come in and follow the same pattern and the aisles were one way.
I like supermarket aisles because they're so big you can easily stand back to look at something without getting close to the opposite side
It's also a bit disturbing when you're looking at something on a shelf and someone comes and stands right next to you and is very obviously looking at the same thing, even turning towards you to get a better look. It's like wow, wait two more seconds and I'll be moving on but hey, thanks for invading my personal space regardless.

Just grocery stores in general now that I think about it. When I start my shopping adventure, I'm nice. Let people cut, stand back, wait for groups to move.. But by the end I'm so annoyed that I'm one of the shoppers we're all bitching about lol. Except for the personal space invader. That's just weird.
I just got back from the grocery store. I can relate to all y'allToday wasn't so bad. Soon it will be even better because the SnowBirds will be heading home for the season. We'll get some elbow-room around here.
The gym I work at is the worst for idiotic displays of 'standing in bad places'... the office where out clock in machine is being #1 , the door swings inward... and about once a week I smack the same person with the door when I'm trying to enter the room to punch in. I've stopped apologizing for it too, since after 6mths (and I've worked there for 3 1/2 years) they still stand there.
Also, I tend to judge how a person acts in a grocery store pushing a cart to how they likely drive on the road.I almost have enough eye-witness reports to make it a fact.![]()
I often go to shop with my wife and I will take one of the following tactics depending on her mood. I will look at her list as she meanders down each aisle I will retrieve things like milk, eggs, cheese, soft drinks...whatever. Or I will drive the cart to the end of each aisle and wait patiently out of everyone's way for her to bring things to the cart.
We have a shortage of options for groceries here so inevitablely we end up at Walmart. My walmart threshold is about 18 minutes. Beyond that I start to foam at the mouth and act like I have Tourette's.:24:
So... on the road, you either drive like a bat out of hell to the end of the street to get out of everyone's way.
or...
You go from lane to lane to get where you need to be? :surrender
