"Sin Tax" on fast food

I don't agree with the tax...

But I also don't agree on it being a tax on the poor. I think it would be better stated, It's a tax on the lazy.

If you think about it, it's cheaper by far to eat at home. Sure, the meals won't be prime rib, but you can eat healthy meals at home for half the price of fast food.
Ok, maybe lazy isn't the right word... but I'm not far off.

Poor meaning, people that are rich never eat fast food. To them, a nice meal at a nice restaurant is cheap.

Plus eating fast food doesn't mean you are lazy. Plenty of busy people opt for fast food when they just don't have time to sit down for a meal at a restaurant or cook one at home.

Dood, I can get a double cheeseburger, fry, and drink for less than $4 at McDonalds .. if I go to the grocery store for "healthy food" it costs me an arm & a leg. They make it hard to eat healthy by charging $4 for a bag of spinach leaves, $20 for a 6 pc pack of chicken breast, $3 for 12 eggs, $5 for a gallon of milk, ect.

Not to mention .. the cheapo micro meals are $1-$2 a piece .. the "healthy" ones are $4+ each.

I'm on the south beach diet, so I have to eat "healthy" (meaning no starchy, junky, "filler" snack foods) and my grocery bill went from $35 a week to $70 a week. It's insane.

A lot of times I don't have time to cook. I want to, but its more of a hassle to go to the grocery store, remember everything I need, then get home and get everything ready to be made than it is for me to go to wendys and get a burger. It's a tax on the poor, and a tax on the busy people.

This tax is absolutely ludicrus, whats next? Taxing people for the right to breathe?
