good day greetings, Redster....was off and on sleeping...i hate that feeling

I know what you mean. However, last night I slept like a log. I'm quite sure it had to do with my beverage of choice prior.

Hopefully, you won't feel all dragged out for the rest of the day. Maybe a nap would be in order whenever possible.

Keeping in mind that I am running on no sleep, this is what I have come up with so far:

With the exception of 2- which is just the oddest prime out there anyhow and breaks all the rules- if the first green square on a given row is in an odd column, so are the other green squares on that row. The next row only has green squares in the even columns. For that matter, a green square either falls in an odd row- odd column or even row-even column. -- Does that have any connection to the cursor position? Are you only allowed to move to green squares? Never mind that last question...

Anything that is a multiple of 3 is not prime- which is obvious, but the way you have the grid set up, it shows things as 0, 3, or 6 mod 9 being all composites. (With the exception of 3)

damnit... you are math-inclined!

johnny boy's lucky hes got you! :thumbup

--------

as to the pattern, it is not necessarily that complex (yet), but i was more referring to the overall visual pattern (although, what i define as a pattern may not be similar to others' definition)...

in my visual-pattern-recognizing mind, sans (finally looked up the definition of that word) the first row (1-9, there is no zero :p), the pattern seems to resemble isometric columnar bricks, rotated 90* (so, not a horizontal but vertical construction)

so:

simur-300x9.png

{Left Side of Window}
Code:
+------------------------------------------+
[:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::]
[:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::]

[:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::]
[:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::]

[:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::]
[:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::] [:::]

+------------------------------------------+
{Right Side of Window}

If the crappy columnar brick representation was rotated CCW:

- then each column was shifted down by nearly 1/3ish a brick

OR

in 3d space, the xy plane has been rotated towards you to make it isometric-like.

HTC - @ your "never-mind-the" last question.

The Cursor-Based Movement screen is not related to the Prime Numbers screen. It is just simple (up, down, left, right) movement.

Or as RedRyder and others would say (oh, yes!, wtf, wtf).

So if you set Cursor Location: 4,4 the cursor would move diagonally down to the right. Or 2,2 would move it diagonally up and left, etc... :dunno

Since I can never understand anything you type, :jk

Say you are at (1, 1). You hit the /\ cursor key. You moved to (1, 2).

It (the VB Form's engine -- if that is what it is called) can sometimes work with multiple inputs, and therefore it is possible to hit /\ + > and you will move up one and right one "at the same time", more or less, it will look like a diagonal move. :nod:

Is it supposed to move in the browser when I hit the keys? Cuz I just tried it and it totally didn't :dunno

I thought you had just programmed it for a green cursor at 3,3 :dunno

nawh, nawh. I don't know how to "embed" anything but an image and videos into a post here.

Just a picture. The program is standalone (does not use a browser) but it only runs on teh Windows. :nod:
