Silence is golden

I work at home and it stays fairly quiet most days. We have workers here removing a wood floored foyer & carpet and applying a new wood floor. Quiet is not going to happen today. One of the workers has talked continuously the whole time he has been here. They are at lunch at the moment.

It's weird how some people are perfectly happy talking through an obviously quiet environment.

we had a gentleman here a few years ago installing a new cover for our carpet and he insisted on having the television on. Why? so I don't hear myself think was what he said....
