We need to have a higher word limit for our closing statements! :willy_nilly:

You have no clue how difficult it was to fit everything I wanted to say into 250 words. :24:

To give an accurate picture... I had to pare down 435 words to 250. :24:

Damn I'm long-winded.

I actually had a one-liner that I was tempted to post to begin with, but instead saved it for the last post and expanded on it.

LoL here's how you could've ended your debate.

All true, but Avatar was the first in the series so a "groundbreaker". Not only for the storyline, but the effects.

Oh, see that's your mistake right there. You expanded on it. That completely defeats the purpose of a one-line debate. :D :p

I know. :24: But I had to talk about my own choice in the first post.

My one liner was going to be...

Avatar = Pocahontas

/thread

I guess that's technically two lines. :D

aha...but the argument wasnt which was the best picture or the one YOU enjoyed more...;)
If I had answered truthfully and though about the qustion more, I probably would have answered "none"

Todays movies are all remakes or generic brands
I personally thought Avatar was "cliche"....but I can see it being more remembered in 30 odd years than an episode from a Batman franchise (from a comic by the way);)

so..I hope you guys vote by the question at hand and not which movie you personally liked better:p

You don't necessarily have to vote on which you think is going to be the more popular either... a debate is about who made the stronger argument and whatnot. ;)

Personally, I don't think either one of them are going to be this big deal in 20 years... I simply went with the film that I felt I could best defend against Avatar. :24:

I saw both Avatar and the Dark Knight, and to be honest I liked the former better. But that's because I had the Pocahontas VHS as a little girl and I watched it so many times that only the audio could be heard the video was all gray and black and while watching Avatar in the first 30 mins I went "Heeeeeey! I know this story!". It was just so obvious for me. LoL
