Should this kid be locked up forever?

That's mental.. I thought it was going to be a child not a bloody 25 year old!! That someone older than me and I know doing something like that is so so totally wrong.

Imagine him getting married, having a child, what if the mother shows more affection to their child instead of him?? What then??

Seriously don't think he needs locking up in a prison but I do think that man needs locking up in secure unit and monitored to see what the hell goes on in his head cos it ain't right at all.

I don't think I could forgive my child for doing something like that. To me my animals are like my babies and having one of them taken in such a cruel way by a child you raised yourself is just something I don't think I could forgive.

You may look at your dogs as one of your 'babies' but once you have an actual baby the dog will step down a couple notches and you'll look at it more as a dog that's apart of your family...and not something that you gave birth to. And if you already have children, then you're messed up for thinking the way you do. There's a big difference between "like one of my babies" and "one of my babies". Yes it was cruel what this kid did, but I'm sure the parents will forgive him and get him the help he needs...a parents love is unconditional.

I don't agree about him being able to get any help for this, but I do agree about his mother, He must have put his parents through hell growing up for them to think this way about him.

I dont believe in putting mentally ill people in prison and life for killing a dog? No. Guy needs to be in a secure mental hospital where hopefully they can manage his condition and medicate his so hopefully he can become a useful member of society, eventually. If not, keep him in the secure mental hospital where they can look after him and keep him safe from the public.

This, I definitely don't think the guy belongs in prison, mental hospital and heavily medicated is the way to go.

I don't believe in medicating someone with these kinds of behavior problems. Would you have recommended medication for Jeffrey Dahmer or Jack the Ripper? They definitely weren't of sound mind before they started murdering. This guy's younger than both of them were. Give him time and he has the potential to follow in their footsteps. Some people can't be helped and his parents are probably a big cause of it. I have zero tolerance for some asshole killing a pet. Actually, I hope this guy gets mauled by a bear or something. That would be fitting.

If Dahmer and Jack the ripper had been locked away and heavily medicated before they killed a lot of lives would have been saved, wouldn't you agree? I bet they started out with dogs and shit too. Being forced to regularly take Heavy Doses of medication severely limit the potential for him to go on to become a serial killer.
