I don't know if the Pope, per se, ought to be arrested. But I think he should be defrocked. And as some of you know, I aint exactly sympathetic to molestation ;)

Should the Pope be arrested? In a word? Yes.

Along w/every person that helped cover this shit up and those 'men of the cloth' involved in molesting these kids.

Since it's doubtful that's going to happen, it would be nice to see every practicing Catholic withhold their tithes until those responsible are held accountable. That that hasn't happened (at least not made the news), imho, shows support for their actions.

The Catholic Church understands Money. Take their income away and perhaps change will occur?

Excuse me if I don't hold my breath.

What is sad is I'm sure there are decent Priests out there and this mess taints every one of them.

You're right he shouldn't be arrested...he should have his dick cut off with the rest of the priests that he protected.

:homo:'s

Secretes should only be kept when there is no mental or physical pain/hurt being caused.

When any bureaucracy especially when it represents itself as good and pure, but then values the bureaucracy over internal criminal actions and steps on the victims who trusted them, the head conspirator and guilty underlings should go to jail. A recent Newsweek has a great series of articles on this.

I saw Jesse Ventura the other day and he brought up a darn good point. Why aren't we going after them w/RICO violations? Sexually abusing children and covering it up certainly fits under that umbrella does it not?

Outstanding! :)

Lets pretend a regular citizen was a serial killer and his brother not only knew about his activities but helped him carry them out. At a minimum, the law would call the brother an accomplice. So why is the church immune?
