CCTV can deter crime, but it raises privacy concerns. Does increased surveillance make society safer, or does it limit personal freedom? Where should limits be set?

I believe public spaces should be monitored with CCTV for safety. In our city, there are CCTV on multiple places, especially in sensitive areas such as banks, government offices, street junction, etc.

I think CCTV can improve safety, but it’s not a simple yes-or-no. It helps deter crime, supports investigations, and can make public spaces feel safer. But it also raises real concerns about privacy, misuse of data, and constant surveillance.
