I'm looking to sell my Mustang to get a Ford Fusion AWD. Now my question is, should I try to sell it and get more money, or do I just trade it in and get what I can?

I have a 2004 GT vert in Competition Orange. It has the Mach 1000, dark charcoal leather interior, black top, polished rims and traction control. They only made 6,400 Mustangs in comp orange and only a few of them are GT convertibles. Because of this, do I stand a better chance of selling it privately?

They only say it's $19,500.00 but that doesn't mean anything. It's only worth that if someone is willing to pay that much for it. I've been searching for a similar one to it for sale, but there aren't any that are in Comp Orange. I think that there are only about 2000 made like mine, that has to add value.

The real question is who is that girl?;)

Some of us from the site ( a long time ago) were approached by a photographer to put our cars in a calender. He brought 3 models and took a lot of pictures of our cars. The short of the story is, the calendar was never made and I don't know who the models were.

Sell it! But i guess if you want to turn it over quick, trade it in. Any buyer that's looking for a mustang vert. in January is looking for a good deal, so if you sell it now you should expect less. But i'm sure you probably already know all this. Why not wait until April or so and get people who are getting their tax returns back and looking for a hot summer ride to cash in on your car? Unless of course you want the AWD fusion now for the winter months, although winter just seems to be a word this year in my neck of the woods, it was only 65° this weekend.

Right now my wife has a 2005 VW Bug and I have the Stang and my 2006 Honda Accord (company car) She can't drive the company car for insurance reasons, and the Bug is only a 2 door. The reason we were thinking about selling the Mustang, is because of the payment.

I would sell it outright you wont get as much on trade, they always have to make a cut on it, It all depends how fast you need to see it go I guess. There is always ebay I suppose to if youre willing to take that chance

Nothing wrong with ebay, just be careful. Don't accept bids from people with zero feedback and talk with people who are interested. A car like that, you shouldn't have much trouble selling it, and I'm not even a Ford guy. ;)
