Hey you Dems!
Would you support Hillary Clinton if she were to announce her candidacy?

I know the possibility is all but moot since her interviews on the Sunday talk shows today, but I'd love to see her step out there. If nothing else, it would get some of these 'Anybody But Obama' drones to actually think about who they want IN versus who they want OUT.

No, no, no... Don't you think Bill would hinder on her choices in office? It'd be like reelecting him again and he's served his terms.

She announced long ago she was out, sadly, but I would vote for her over Obama any day. I hope she runs in 2016, but I also hope to be a Canadian by 2016 so it's moot for me too.

I'd put my money on her waiting 'til 2016... people are so disenchanted with Obama and the Democrats right now that she wouldn't stand a chance even if she won the nomination. I think she'd actually even stand less of a chance than Obama does to be re-elected. She'll be hoping for a weak Republican winning next year and trying to defeat them.

weak Republican

This is a redundant statement for this crop of candidates, no?
She definitely knows there's no chance of breaking through this time around, but I think she's at least pretty universally respected, which is rare anymore. She really could have a shot one day.

I would vote for Hillary as long as she is a no shit fighter and does not spend the first two and one half years of her Presidency trying to negotiate with ass holes who have no interest in compromise only the seizure of power.

I look at Obama and wonder why he was not doing what hes doing today, two years ago. I fear the boat has sailed for Obama.

Geeze Minor that sounds so familiar

Guess you forgot he had a super majority in congress for 2 years.

And he still could not even get a budget passed

Great leadership on the left I guess eh?

If the goal is to be fair to society there are very hard choices to be made. The Dems were not up to it. However if you turn this over to the GOPers, it will be very easy to screw most of us while handing their friends what would amount to the largest windfalls every granted by a government to one segment of society. That segment of society has 90+% of the wealth all ready, might as well consolidate and finish putting a steak through the heart of the Middle Class.

*gets de ja vu*

Actually your right. Mostly it is a waste of time debating these issues in a forum like this especially when you view my opposites here. ;)

Democrats are owned by corporates too

They just have a different face

Two years of a super majority proved that

Just different entities pulling the strings

So how would you fix the system? You either have every-person-for-themselves Anarchy or we come together as a society and make decisions that benefit the majority, not a small minority. It appears to me that Capitalism has had it's run. Without morality, Capitalism makes a few overly rich and makes the rest of us glorified slaves to their whims. If the discussion has anything to do with a healthy society we might have to look in some other direction. But no matter what economic system we choose, corruption is not acceptable.

Come up with something other than your traditional conservative bullshit, thank you. ;)

My so called conservative bullshit is right on par with your socialist drivel

You never do answer when is enough, enough... to confiscate. You never address the disparity of those who don't pay a dime in taxes. I guess you think the mega rich can foot the entire bill despite conclusive evidence otherwise.

We are a republic and not a direct democracy. Were we to do what the majority wants who knows how we would have dealt with slavery by now for example.

Your vision of a meeting of the minds is to do what has failed. Capitalism works. Socialism does not. The problem is we have bastardized the constitution so much that our current system is not capitalism any more.

It's a moot question... it's not going to happen in 2012 or 2016

Obama will win in 2012 and I don't have a clue what's going to happen in 2016

But I can bet you anything that none of these republicans have a chance at winning in 2012

And YES, I will vote for Obama over any of these clowns in the running

You might be a bit optimistic Tim at this point on his being re elected if the economy continues to tank as I suspect it will.

Some people much higher up on the food change than me stated a couple years ago in MI we won't see a recovery until 2015.

But the party of religious nuts are known for being able to lose a sure bet.

I won't be a bit surprised to see a couple more candidates enter the fray early next year

I predicted back about 2 years ago that Hillary would run. I still think she might. It would be now or never. If she resigns as Sec of State then you better be prepared. Here chances of winning now are much greater than back then and one thing the Clintons are is smart and craving power. They know how to play the game. You can scoff at her entering late but there has been many times in the past. If things keep getting worse I can see her and Billy riding in on their white horse to save the day and people will lap it up. Our country was not up to all the drama in 2008 but enough on both sides would probably welcome them back in charge by the end of next year.

The worse the economy gets, the better Obama's chances are. Too many people are starting to realize WHY the economy is tanking and it has nothing to do with Obama and everything to do with republicans putting their party ahead of the American people.

Spoken like a true Democrat :D

You guys still gonna use the blame it on Bush?

It won't work as even one of the lts in the Democrat party said a few months ago it was Obamas economy. You can bet that tasty little morsel will get tons of air play come next summer and fall.

just in case you forgot
