Policies like plastic bans, fuel taxes, or energy regulations aim to protect the environment but increase living costs. Where should governments draw the line between regulation and personal freedom? Do such policies help long-term sustainability or burden everyday life?

Government intervention can help make sustainable choices practical and affordable. Policies like subsidies for renewable energy, incentives for eco-friendly products, and regulations on waste or emissions guide behavior and create systems where sustainable living isn’t just optional, but accessible for everyone.

I just walked pass one recycling bin that was already broken. Government intervention sounds good on paper, but implementation is another story and that is frustrating. If they want to intervene, they should start with proper waste pickup, enough of the big speeches.
