Price controls can make essentials affordable, but they may also disrupt markets. Do they help consumers, or create shortages and inefficiency? When should governments intervene?

While it can be against the free market economy but most of the time businesses do carteling, therefore, I support government controlled prices

I think governments should regulate essential goods to prevent price gouging and ensure basic access. Markets alone can make necessities unaffordable for many. Regulation should aim for fairness without stifling supply, using subsidies or price caps carefully to balance accessibility and market stability.
