Should age be a consideration in courting

Do you think it makes sense to consider the age of a person when you want to date anyone. Maybe it should be one that is almost your age bracket. What's your thought

Problematic age gaps aside, if you have enough in common and enjoy each others company age shouldn't be an issue.

That said, maturity and consenting age should be taken into consideration first

But I aint tall dark and handsome so it matters none.

I spent the first 26 years alone and had a 30 year marriage when she walked out on me.

That was 11 years ago and I don't expect anything to change.

It depends where you come from, as for the place I come from, I don't think you can go out on a date without considering the age you know especially if you're a lady you have to check what the society is going to say, what the community are going to say about you and so a lot of people do consider the age when they go out on a date.

Age makes absolutely no difference to me. It doesn't matter if they're older or younger, men aren't interested in me so the question of age is a moot point.

Age gives a general advantage to the appearance of the person because no matter what attraction is pivotal in the partner you are with and appearance will be critical in the selection process as well. In most cases, a man should be older but am totally against a very huge age gap because it will just subject one to be more of a cheater than being loyal to one partner. How can you be forty or fifty and date someone who is twenty years old? Having a relationship with such a young person is no different from sleeping with your daughter. An age gap of upto 5 years and ultmost ten years makes a lot more sense.

However, we have different cultures and others will see it normal to date a younger man and that is their preference so there is nothing we can do about it. We have many reasons and circumstances that make us have the partners we get to date so it is an open market.
