BREAKING NEWS: Christopher Dorner was engaged in a shootout with federal authorities in the Big Bear area Tuesday, law enforcements sources told The Times. The shooting occurred after Dorner allegedly tried to burglarize a home and steal a car.
His condition was not clear.

The facts coming about now are that there was a home invasion and one of the homeowners was able to get away and alert the police. 2 more officers down as it stands right now, unknown condition on them. Believe there's a vehicle pursuit going on right now.

Reports are conflicting b/c CNN is saying they don't know if the officers got out and that there's a vehicle pursuit going on. Someone else is saying he's in a cabin and they have it surrounded. So, yeah, I think I'll just watch the live coverage and disregard the narrating.

One of my favorite snowboarding places.
That dude is going to freeze to death, and where was he last night if he is there now.

SWAT entered the cabin he was in and, shortly thereafter, tons of black smoke starting rolling out of the cabin. It's now fully engulfed in flames...no word on whether or not he was brought out of the cabin, is still inside, or if the cabin was empty.

hmm... black smoke and red flames... doesnt that mean that there was a FUEL fire? and the amount of smoke coming out of that was a bit much for a simple house fire.

The Police probably went in, shot him and decided to burn the house down to eliminate the possibility of an in-depth investigation.

This caused me to flashback to The Branch Davidians. Authorities pump in "Tear gas" and mysteriously the structure goes up in flames.

I believe we are a soveriegn nation of laws. I believe it is definitely wrong to burn people out of their homes in this country. As far as a fire fight in a war zone then different rules apply in my mind.

This is the oldest tactic you can use to defeat an enemy. Surround them in a structure and burn them out. In Waco they used an M88a1 tank tow truck to deliver the flamable canister through the wall. This 120,000 lb. vehicle was also used to topple the statue of Sadam in Iraq. They used something smaller to do the same thing to the cabin. Tear down one wall and reposition and do the next one till they were done. Then burn the pile so there is nothing to investigate. While I don't condone what he did at all, this is what an out of control government sanctions for use against it's citizens.

I can't help it. Seeing this type behavior makes me nervous as a law abiding citizen who prefers my government leave me alone.
