My opinion on this is:

BE AWARE OF WHAT YOUR CHILD IS DOING...
FAILURE TO PROTECT AND CARE FOR CHILD CAN RESULT IN DEATH...

Like, if you buy your kid TINY and I mean T-I-N-Y toys, then, keep an eye on them so they don't eat it.
Or, if you buy your kid a B-B Gun, make sure they don't end up shooting someone else, an animal, or even themselves...

When it comes to parenting, keep some kind of control on your kid, but, don't make them into like a slave or well, DULL person without any choices... ya know?

Many of these batteries are in holiday cards, remote controls, McDonalds / Burger King toys and all sorts of places we really need to pay attention to.

Back a while ago there was a show on regular batteries as well.. Kids would swallow these Double A or Triple A as dares or just as jokes.. They could not pass the battery in many cases thru their intestines..

I had a talk about it with my son and told him NOT to let anyone make him swallow a battery for fun / joke or any reason like money..

That's scary. I try and keep stuff like that away from Abigail. I don't know what I'd do if something ever happened to her. I watch her like a hawk whenever she's with me. I'm afraid of what she could do.

also something to think about...hearing aid batteries. any battery swallowed needs to be taken care of ASAP by going to the ER not your dr office

i've never whelped any, but my family and friends have and they make sure that their little ones are not able to access dangerous things like that to stick in their mouths.

the parents are the ones at fault when something like this happens.
