Im so damn glad that Im working out at triage tonight and not in the back of the ER! Just had a gunshot to the head come in that was the cause of some gangs getting into it with each other. Why cant people just get along?
I am kinda nervous sitting out here by myself though for fear that these gang members may come in looking for this guy that was shot.

Theres a bunch of police here but there's some in the room with the pt and theres some in the prayer room with the family. There SHOULD be one sitting right here next to me instead of me sitting right here by myself. I'll be honest, Im scared shitless right now

I got yelled at "fuck you" several times to my face by 2 HUGE colored guys and one told me that he WAS going to the back to see this guy. I told them that there was to be noone going back (they were still trying to save his life plus there was 2 detectives back there) and one of the guys lifted up his shirt showing me a gun (threatening me)

Where the fuck was the police??? I would of complained. I know when we have something like that- someone is ALWAYS stationed at the front. I want to kick those guys asses now!!!!!

There was 2 cops there and each cop had a handful of people a piece that they was trying to calm down. They got him on security camera doing it though but it still wasnt right that I was behind the desk by myself.
I still have an email that I save from Sept of last yr that I wrote to the CEO about another incident that happened that was similar to this but not near as bad and the CEO had the nerve to tell me that we were very well protected. Whatever
