Heres an attempt at a poem. :D
Ummm... Here goes:

There once was a kid named Shannon
In her pocket she carried a miniature cannon
She imagined that she was on a gigantic battleground
and her enemy was the teacher when shes turned around.

I havent made a thread in the poem section for a long time. I dont mind critisism. :D

You know what Luke, I'm not a big fan of "poetry" but I liked it.

Note: the reason I put poetry in quote marks is because I am a big music fan & that is where the true poet of the 20th Century resides - in song.

No arguement from me on that one - just noting that I find standard poetry can be droll & that I think that most of the great poems of the last 75 years were set to music.

Exactly, why read to Shakespeare when you can bob your head to him?
